Christian Entrepreneur: Unlock Your Unique Value with Faith-Led Strategies

When I first started my business, I was a sponge—soaking up every tip and trick from YouTube gurus, devouring podcasts, and reading every how-to article I could find. I thought the secret to success was hidden in someone else’s strategy, waiting for me to discover and replicate it. Don’t get me wrong, seeking tools and resources isn’t inherently bad. In fact, that’s part of the mission of Three Sixteen Studio—to provide tools for entrepreneurs. But during that time, I made one critical mistake: I drowned out my own voice.

I allowed self-doubt and uncertainty to creep in, and instead of seeking Christ, I was chasing advice like a treasure hunt. I forgot the truth of Psalm 139:14: “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” This wasn’t just a feel-good verse; it was a reminder that God equipped me uniquely for the journey He called me to. He didn’t design me to build my business exactly like someone else’s. My gifts, skills, and experiences are a specific combination for a reason—and the same is true for you.

Shifting My Focus Back to Christ

When I finally stopped comparing myself to others and looked to Christ as my source, everything changed. It was a humbling moment of realizing that this path I’m on—this business, this dream—was something I prayed for. God gave me His approval to pursue it, and He promised to walk with me every step of the way.

But here’s the thing: I wasn’t looking to Him. I was looking to the “experts.” My creativity was stifled because I was trying to mold my business into someone else’s blueprint. When I shifted my focus back to God, things began to transform. I stopped sinking in the overwhelm of doing things their way and started walking on water by doing things His way.

This is your reminder: keep your eyes on Christ. He knows your audience, your strategy, your strengths, and even the energy you have for the work ahead. He knows what you need to avoid burnout. He knows the winning product that will propel your business forward. He knows the one strategy that will change your financial situation.

Learning to Trust Simplicity

I’ll be honest—trusting God’s direction wasn’t always easy for me. When I prayed for clarity, God gave me blogging as a strategy. But in my mind, blogging seemed too simple. I wanted something more complicated, something that felt like the “real” way to success.

Here’s what I learned: simple doesn’t mean easy. Sometimes, the simplest solutions require the most humility to follow. Once I surrendered my need for control and embraced God’s plan, I began to see the fruits of obedience.

Take my decision to invest in a $5,000 laser machine. That was a huge leap of faith for me—I had never spent that much money outside of household necessities. But through prayer, God gave me the courage to invest. That one machine paid for itself many times over in just one year and helped me reach my first $100K year.

The lesson? Trusting God means trusting His provision and timing. It also means trusting that He’s leading you toward something unique—something that fills a market gap rather than copying a best-seller.

Filtering Advice Through Prayer

There’s no shortage of advice out there, but not every piece of advice is meant for you. That’s why it’s so important to filter everything through prayer and meditation. Ask God, “Is this for me? Should I apply this to my business?”

It’s easy to get distracted by shiny strategies or to feel paralyzed by decision-making. I’ve been there—facing burnout, trying to balance too much, and spreading myself thin. But when I surrendered to God’s guidance, He gave me the clarity to focus on what mattered most.

Your Unique Value Is Your Greatest Strength

So, here’s what I want you to take away: your individuality is your greatest strength. God has equipped you with a one-of-a-kind combination of gifts, skills, and experiences. When you lean into that—and keep your focus on Him—you’ll find that doors begin to open.

Like Peter walking on water, as long as we keep our eyes on Jesus, we’ll stay afloat. The moment we look away and focus on the storm—comparison, doubt, fear—we start to sink.

In business, it’s easy to compare ourselves to others and get distracted by their successes. But remember: God has a plan tailored just for you. Trust Him to guide your steps, even when the path seems unclear.

So, take a deep breath, quiet the noise, and embrace your unique value. You were fearfully and wonderfully made for this journey. Trust that—and watch your business grow in ways you never imagined.
